Safety Advisory Service
To provide a professional cost effective health & safety advisory service tailored to suit the specific needs of individual companies. EBSOL will ensure that all auditing, monitoring and training requirements are targeted to enable member companies to develop and maintain an excellent standard of health & safety and comply with current legislation.

• Site safety inspections with reports
• Advice and assistance with health and safety training requirements
• Acting as the company external ‘Competent Person’ for health & safety matters
• Providing information and advice on current and Imminent health & safety legislation
• Immediate response to accidents / incidents, complete with full investigation, written report, and liaison with HSE as required
• Advice and assistance with the preparation of health & safety policies, health & safety plans, risk assessments and method statements
• Advice and assistance with SSiP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) applications and renewals and the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires.

Site Safety Inspections
EBSOL will carry out monthly site safety inspections with written reports. Inspections of ongoing works, arrangements and facilities including:

• Scaffolding
• Excavations
• First-Aid arrangements
• Safety documentation
• Personal protective equipment
• Work at height
• Traffic management
• Fire safety arrangements
• Welfare facilities
• Environmental issues

Ensuring that safe systems of work are being implemented and monitored with all appropriate documentation being maintained.

Accident Investigation
EBSOL will, when an accident is reported by a member company, visit the site as soon as is practicable to photograph the scene and interview and record statements from witnesses. We will in general protect and represent the member companies interests. A written report of the findings, causation, conclusion and recommendations will be submitted to the member company.

Fire Safety Risk Assessments
Fire safety legislation, Fire (Scotland) Act 2005, now requires fire risk assessments to be carried out by a competent person. The legal duty to ensure these assessments are carried out rests on the responsible person for the premises, which could be the employer, the building owner or building manager.
Our experienced consultants will fulfil the role of competent person and carry out a fire risk assessment and identify fire risks that can be removed / reduced to a reasonably practicable level.
